zaza on his way out
http://www.football-italia.net/95551/west-ham-cut-zaza-losses

Simone Zaza is in the stands as West Ham United face Liverpool, so he’s almost certain to go back to Juventus without the clause being activated.

The striker joined over the summer on a loan deal worth €5m with an option to buy for another €20m plus €3m in performance-related bonuses.

That option would become obligatory the moment Zaza made 14 competitive appearances for the Hammers.

However, as he has failed to score a single goal and is not settling into the Premier League, it looks as if the club has decided to cut its losses.

So far Zaza has nine appearances under his belt and the fact he’s not even on the bench against Liverpool this evening suggests his fate has been sealed.

A return to Serie A was considered likely, but Valencia and their Coach Cesare Prandelli are now emerging as the favourites.

The important thing is that if West Ham do not activate their clause, they can simply send him back to Juventus early and the Bianconeri will then have to find him a new club.

In Italy, Napoli and Milan are the candidates showing an interest in the 25-year-old.

Has not shown he's good enough for West Ham to continue...

He's had enough time on the pitch...

I blame our system mainly, not Zaza per se.

Re: zaza on his way out
If we could extend the loan without activating the must buy clause after just 14 games i may give him a little longer, if not release him and use the money to buy someone else, i have been impressed with fletcher and would like to see him given more game time.

Any idea on his wages and loan fee...???

Re: zaza on his way out
Best thing for all concerned if he goes back I reckon.

We free up a squad space and wages for someone who might contribute more to the cause.

Hope we can get rid of Tore similarly.

Not seen a thing from him that would suggest he was half decent, looks extremely poor....cue him leaving us and going on a crazy scoring spree

Re: zaza on his way out
With my relatively limited knowledge of him prior to signing, I was hopeful he might be at least a temporary solution to our forward problems.

But, if you added up every single good thing the bloke has done on the pitch for us since he joined, you're left some way short of even a decent half of football.

He can't shoot straight, doesn't get into good positions, is slow and has made absolutely ZERO impact.

I think his best position is probably as a second striker, although not for the first team.

25 million quid?

I reckon I'm at least a 25th as good as him and I haven't played football for 26 or 27 years.

At least we'd save 3 million on the "performance bonuses" though?

I turned down a hot south african girl called Simone many years ago. Because I was after her mate Sharon (who was nowhere near as hot, but was very dirty).

Re: zaza on his way out
There has not been one flicker of an indication that he could contribute anything.
Nothing to show any improvement.
Given he is an Italian international I can't think of any centre forward who has been so ineffective. If it wasn't so infuriating it would almost be funny.
The sooner we bring the whole sorry episode to an end the better.
And we shall never speak of it again.

When you think of some of the strikers that have played for Italy over the years this guy must be one of the worst!

And one of the worst for us as well

Re: zaza on his way out
Even if he scores 50 goals a season from now on for whoever he plays for as the french say Je ne regrette rien (Apart from him coming to West ham) , good luck to him he can go and quickly, he has showed absolutely nothing in skill application or want for West ham.

Without doubt the best thing he has done on our pitch was that great goal he scored

Against us for Juve

If we'd used that penalty miss in the Euros as a benchmark we'd have saved ourselves GBP5m.
